Why, Against Reason and Common Sense, Do We Re-Elect Career Incumbent Politicians?

It Seems to me that All Career Incumbents Represent The Corrupt Bipartisan Two-Party Political System and Corrupt Special Interests Who Give Bundles of Campaign Cash to Incumbents to Maintain Control of All Public Policy Decisions!

The First and Only 2012 Open 1st District Debate

Sunday, October 28, 2012

It was a very windy cold day.  But it was a good day for open clean debates featuring two ballot-qualified candidates with viewpoints not expressed by any Democratic or Republican candidates anywhere. Many thanks to moderator Al Harden, center, and the student video crew who added to their portfolios while performing a very good public service. The video setup was complete and first class. See the entire Debate on the "CitizensForStevenson" YouTube campaign account of Rich Stevenson. Published on YouTube the weekend before Election Day. [Hindsight: self-produce many more debates to publish on social media pages. Get the message out to voters early.]

This debate and the 1st District Waycross Public Media Forum were the only debates in 2012 inviting all four ballot-qualified candidates. There was not even one commercial TV big audience debate including or excluding two of the four candidates in 2012; not one debate between the 16-year career political incumbent, "Chabothead," and the weak Democratic challenger, who did not show up for any public debate at any time in 2012. He may as well remain as a nameless no-show. He was that.

Footnote: The no-show Democrat got 43% of the vote; 43% wasted their votes on a nameless no-show candidate. They voted for a party, not a person they knew. The Party gave the election to the 16-year incumbent. No contest. We lose.
